ENTERTAINMENT GUARANTEED!  Finally, mac [maqsoodul haque]'s album mA'AREFOTER POTAKA is out in the wild for us to grab! Me being, unlike most of u, one among the luckiest souls in BD, got one from mac himself. autographed! In fact I am listening to it RIGHT NOW! UNREAL stuff! This album of mac, as always, has a complete out of the sphere beat to it. Lyrics, none by mac though, are ROCKING good! mA'AREFOTER POTAKA by maqsood o tar gORIMA gaaner dol [maqsood & his Heritage Revival Ensemble] has 10 numbers in total which according to mac, includes one reverse fusion [where a baul has tunefully sang along with the "band setup" in the "band's way"]; a fAKIRI number & the 1st ever bangla ROCK KEERTON in the history of WORLD MUSIC! Little rappings-

| Another hortal (general strike) day passes by. I have, as always, like most of the advantage enjoying Bangladeshis, spent the day mostly sleeping. This is supposed to be fun. Big time. No classes, no office and no sitting & sweating in long traffic. But its no fun my side. Dont take me as a workaholic young person who is making use of every minute of the day. Please make no mistake. I am just another "lazy dog" over whom "the quick brown fox jumps", days in & out. Still I hate hortals. It only makes it more clear to me that- till date, I have had a fruitless, if not useless life.
My mom, like almost ALL Bangladeshi murubbi (adult), thinks this is NOT a good idea to work now. I must end my studies first and then start to worry about working. Here study translates to- B.A.(Hns.), M.A. & a PhD! And similarly, working means a "good" & "respectable" job in a private bank or a multinational corporation. Till then, I should keep enjoying the home-ground advantage- free meals and handsome supply of pocket money. Good mate, its ALL good!
I do not refuse to take it. I am taking it. I dont like it though. But I am enjoying it. Can anything be more FUN-ER than this? Life is sweet! There are more than 14 crore people actually dreaming to get a taste of this life, in this country of 15 crore+ people.
Hell yeah, my life rocks man! ...& the facts remains- I DO NOT!
